At Tadweld, we’re proud to be building on the momentum of a highly successful 2025 as we move confidently into what is set to be our strongest year to date.
As a North Yorkshire-based steelwork manufacturing and coded welding specialist, and now in our 48th year of trading, we are targeting a further 15% growth in 2026. This would see our annual revenue exceed £6 million for the first time in our history, a significant milestone for the business.
Investing in Strong Foundations
Following sustained investment in our ERP systems, manufacturing capacity and facilities at our Tadcaster headquarters, our focus in 2026 is firmly on accelerating growth through new market opportunities, deeper sector expertise and continued recruitment.
Managing Director Chris Houston commented:
“2026 is an exciting year for the business following a busy and successful 2025. After a period of investment in ERP systems and adding manufacturing capacity, it’s exciting to be back investing in the team.
It’s a tough environment for UK manufacturing at the moment, but it is credit to our fantastic team that customers continue to choose us as their steelwork solutions partner.”
Expanding into New Markets
As part of our strategic growth plans, we are actively expanding into new markets and product areas. This includes opportunities within the water sector, as well as adjacent specialist applications such as AJAX road tanker access systems.
We are also experiencing increased demand from the food and drink sector, where we continue to support major manufacturers with precision steelwork, fabrication and bespoke access solutions.
Our long-term strategy remains focused on delivering high-quality, reliable steelwork solutions while broadening our presence in sectors such as food manufacturing and water treatment.
Growing the Tadweld Team
People remain at the heart of our growth plans. Having welcomed our 50th team member last year, we are now recruiting for several key roles, including:
- Business Development Manager
- Business Development Executive
- Production Manager
These appointments form part of wider plans to create up to 10 new roles during 2026 across sales, design, operations and manufacturing.
Chris added:
“We’ve made deliberate investments over the last couple of years to put the right foundations in place, from systems and space to skills and leadership. That means we’re now in a position to grow confidently, enter new markets and strengthen our presence, while continuing to deliver the quality and reliability our customers expect.”
Industry Recognition
We are also delighted to have been shortlisted for Manufacturer of the Year (under £10m) at the Made In Yorkshire Awards 2026. The recognition reflects the transformation of the business in recent years, as we continue to invest in our people, technology and manufacturing capacity while navigating a challenging landscape for UK manufacturing.
With a clear strategic direction, a growing team and strong market demand, we are confidently positioned to deliver our most successful year to date in 2026.
